Capital Digestive Care is pleased to announce the addition of Tara Spalding, PA-C, to our Williamsburg, VA office. Growing up, Tara was inspired by the work of medical professionals and their decision to devote their lives to helping people. For Tara, helping just one person can make a hard day worthwhile. Seeing a care team that is passionate about their care and patients makes all the difference.
Today, Tara is a physician assistant who enjoys working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions in the outpatient setting. Tara provides general gastroenterology (GI) care and takes a comprehensive approach to helping each patient.
Tara graduated cum laude from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She went on to earn her master’s in physician assistant studies from the same institution.
“I like to review diet and lifestyle, as it can greatly impact the GI system as well as the entire human body,” Tara said. “I think it’s important to understand my patients well.”
Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Tara worked at Velocity Urgent Care in Gloucester, VA. She also has experience working in immediate care and occupational health settings and is nationally certified to perform U.S. Department of Transportation physicals.
Outside the office, Tara is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. She also loves traveling, hiking, and staying active with her family.
