Capital Digestive Care is pleased to announce the addition of Sania Saeed, PA, to our Olney, Rockville, and Silver Spring, Md. offices. Sania is a certified physician assistant (PA) who takes a personalized approach to patient care. She uses a combination of medical knowledge, professional skill, and empathy to care for her patients.

Since she was a child, Sania has had a strong interest in human biology combined with helping others. Becoming a medical provider fulfilled both of those interests. As a PA, Sania is able to understand the intricate workings of the human body and the pathophysiology that results when processes in the human body go wrong. She uses a combination of medical knowledge, professional skill, and empathy to care for her patients. She builds meaningful relationships with her patients while diagnosing various illnesses and finds the process of treating those illnesses both gratifying and fulfilling.

Sania graduated magna cum laude from Notre Dame of Maryland University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She went on to earn her master’s degree in health science with a physician assistant concentration from the University of Maryland and earned a certificate in physician assistant studies from Anne Arundel Community College. Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Sania worked as a physician assistant performing disability examinations for Advanced Medical Consultants in Elkton, MD. She also worked as a physician assistant at Bloom Health Centers, a mental health clinic in Baltimore, MD.

“In my experience, I have learned that you learn more from listening and that every patient has a story. Patients are not merely a number or a diagnosis; rather, they are each a composite of experiences, challenges, and triumphs,” Sania said. “I strive to give my patients the time they need to explain their symptoms, but also paint a picture of their life story. Once I am able to thoroughly understand my patients’ background and onset of symptoms, I am then able to provide a more personable and holistic approach to their care.”

One of Sania’s proudest moments was when she was awarded the clinician’s clinician award during her PA school graduation. It truly captured the essence of what type of PA she hopes to be: one with whom her peers can entrust their loved ones.

Sania provides general gastroenterology care and can treat all conditions. She has special interest in:
