Capital Digestive Care is pleased to announce the addition of Gloria Vasquez, DNP, to our Rockville, Md. office.
The medical field has always fascinated Gloria. She became a nurse to make a positive impact in her community. She enjoys connecting with her patients, providing them with education and guidance, and helping them reach their goals.
Today, Gloria is a certified nurse practitioner who holds a doctorate of nursing practice and has experience as a clinical nurse in endoscopy and intermediate care. Throughout her career, Gloria has witnessed the profound impact of comprehensive care and education on patients and their families. This has inspired her commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
Fluent in Spanish, Gloria provides general gastroenterology (GI) care.
Gloria earned a bachelor of science in nursing, followed by a doctorate of nursing practice, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She was awarded a Doctorate of Nursing Practice Exceptional Project Award from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in recognition of exceptional doctoral nursing scholarship to improve outcomes and transform healthcare.
“I apply my clinical experience to deliver high-quality, person-centered care,” Gloria said. “I am committed to promoting excellent health outcomes within diverse patient populations.”
Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Gloria worked at Sibley Memorial Hospital, where she provided perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
In her spare time, Gloria enjoys traveling, reading, and knitting. Over two years, she has visited six countries, including her native El Salvador. She looks forward to continuing her journey of lifelong learning both at home and abroad.
